This role offers an exciting opportunity for a creative design leader to shape and elevate the visual identity of multiple trade publications and marketing materials. The successful candidate will lead the conception, design, and production of high-quality print and digital assets, collaborating closely with editorial and marketing teams. You will drive visual storytelling, maintain brand consistency, and implement innovative design solutions that engage target audiences. Accountabilities:
- Conceive, design, and produce sophisticated trade publications and marketing collateral across multiple brands.
- Collaborate with editors and content teams to ensure accurate visual representation of story ideas and information.
- Develop and maintain the overall visual style, including new sections, redesigns, and refreshed layouts.
- Create conceptual art, infographics, and perform photo and illustration editing.
- Manage project files, templates, and archives to ensure organizational consistency.
- Prepare files for print according to vendor specifications and maintain knowledge of print production requirements.
- Design promotional materials and ads for internal and external clients.
- Stay current on design trends, tools, and creative direction within the industry.
- Associates degree in Graphic Design or equivalent; advanced design credentials a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in publication print design.
- Proficiency with design, illustration, and photo editing software (Adobe Creative Suite).
- Excellent artistic judgment and strong typographic skills.
- Creative thinking, resourcefulness, and strong aesthetic sensibility.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively.
- Understanding of mechanical print requirements and experience preparing files for production.
