The Art Director II will lead the creative vision for multiple trade publications and collateral materials, combining design expertise with strategic visual storytelling. This role offers the opportunity to shape the aesthetic standards across diverse brands while collaborating closely with editorial and production teams. The position requires a strong grasp of typography, layout, and digital design tools, along with the ability to conceptualize and execute high-quality visual content. The Art Director II will manage projects from concept through production, ensuring consistency, innovation, and engagement. - Accountabilities:
- Conceive, design, and produce visually engaging trade publications and collateral materials.
- Collaborate with editors to accurately represent story ideas and maintain cohesive visual narratives.
- Develop and maintain visual style guides, conduct redesigns, and refresh publication layouts as needed.
- Create conceptual art, infographics, and edit photos and illustrations.
- Prepare files for print according to vendor specifications and maintain project archives.
- Design promotional materials and advertisements for internal and external clients.
- Track and manage project schedules, communicate production concerns, and adhere to departmental workflows.
- Stay current on industry trends, graphic arts technology, and competitive publication design.
- Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in publication print design.
- Strong creative thinking, resourcefulness, and artistic judgment.
- Proficiency with design, illustration, and photo editing software.
- Excellent knowledge of typography and print production requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively across teams.
