Located in Montreal, the Mattel Building Sets Campus is a creative hub focused on developing Mattel Brick Shop and MEGA Bloks products for a global audience. The campus brings together cross-functional teams who collaborate to support innovation, creativity, and the evolution of iconic building brands. Job Description

The Opportunity: 

Our Brand and Packaging Design team creates and develops visual communication strategies to promote our products on various platforms, including packaging, marketing, and e-commerce. In this context, the 3D Artist is responsible for creating high-quality digital renderings that represent our toys in a realistic and appealing way. Working closely with the product design, graphic design, and marketing teams, they act as a virtual photographer, paying close attention to detail and emerging trends. Self-motivated and organized, the CGI Artist is able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting quality standards and deadlines.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Create realistic and appealing 3D renderings of our toys for various media, including product packaging, marketing visuals, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Translate product intent and creative requirements into high-quality visual compositions, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Work closely with Product Design, Graphic Design, and Marketing teams to fully understand project needs and objectives.
  • Clearly present visual concepts and renderings for review and approval.
  • Effectively manage deadlines and priorities while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy in deliverables.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies, trends, and developments in the field of CGI and digital rendering.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

  • DEC in 3D modeling or animation, arts, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Cinema 4D, and Redshift (or equivalent rendering software).
  • Excellent skills in scene lighting, visual composition, and realistic material creation. Experience in photography and/or the toy industry is an asset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments, while demonstrating autonomy, organization, and clear and concise communication.
  • Creativity, flexibility, positive attitude, and attention to detail, with a constant interest in technological innovations and emerging trends.
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
