Creative and Art Director

This role leads the artistic and creative vision of a multi-platform cultural initiative, integrating film, music, visual arts, and digital media to tell impactful stories. You will guide creative strategy, ensure cohesive visual and narrative identity, and elevate the aesthetic and emotional resonance of all outputs. The position involves mentoring creative teams, collaborating with internal and external partners, and translating complex concepts into compelling artistic experiences. You will oversee production processes, manage timelines and resources, and ensure cultural and mission alignment. This role is ideal for a visionary leader who thrives in dynamic, multi-disciplinary environments and is passionate about culturally-rooted storytelling. Strong project management, communication, and bilingual skills are essential.

Accountabilities

  • Define and execute the artistic style and creative direction across all project platforms, including short documentaries, music, visual arts, and digital media.
  • Ensure consistent creative quality, cohesion, and alignment with project mission and objectives.
  • Collaborate with directors, producers, designers, and other creative team members to translate concepts into engaging visual and narrative outputs.
  • Mentor, support, and guide team members, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Oversee production processes from pre-production to post-production, managing timelines, resources, and budget allocation.
  • Research and integrate emerging trends, techniques, and technologies in media and digital storytelling.
  • Maintain cultural and thematic sensitivity to target audiences, ensuring authenticity and relevance.
  • Perform other duties as required to support program goals and creative vision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Media Production, Communication, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in creative direction, art direction, or media production across multiple disciplines.
  • Proven portfolio demonstrating excellence in storytelling and creative output across film, music, visual arts, or digital media.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing collaborative creative projects.
  • Proficiency in design and production software, including Adobe Creative Suite, video/audio editing, and digital media tools.
  • Strong knowledge of culturally-rooted storytelling, particularly within Hispanic culture and Christian faith traditions.
  • Bilingual (Fluent English/Spanish) with excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical thinking abilities, with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in dynamic and evolving environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in program or creative leadership roles.
