Marcus & Millichap is seeking a visionary and hands-on Creative Director to lead a diverse team of designers and marketers located across North America. This role is pivotal in shaping and elevating the brand presence of Marcus & Millichap and its subsidiaries. You will guide the creation of high-impact visual communications and marketing campaigns that span individual property sales collateral through master brand strategy and everything in between.


The ideal candidate is both a creative producer and an inspiring mentor, equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to design, as they are presenting strategic concepts to senior executives. You will oversee a growing team of 10-15 marketing professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and brand consistency.

Essential Functions:

  • Direct and produce visual content across channels including print collateral, campaigns, and digital assets with excellence and consistency.
  • Influence and lead the evolution of brand strategy by translating positioning, messaging, and business objectives into compelling visual concepts, campaigns, and design systems.
  • Translate business goals into clear creative strategies and oversee their execution from concept through delivery.
  • Champion the evolution of the company’s visual identity and brand voice across departments and marketing channels.
  • Identify and partner with best-in-class vendors and service providers to extend team capabilities, scale content development, and drive broader brand impact across markets.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor a multi-location team of graphic designers and property marketing specialists with varying levels of experience.
  • Establish and uphold best practices in production workflows, versioning, and asset delivery to meet high-volume demand with speed, accuracy, and brand consistency.
  • Foster a team environment that values creativity, accountability, ongoing learning, and high performance.
  • Partner with the Director of Strategy and Planning to set timelines and manage project prioritization.
  • Promote professional development and creative excellence across the team.
  • Provide dotted-line oversight to offshore graphic design partners, ensuring adherence to brand standards, production quality, and timely asset delivery across global time zones.
  • Collaborate with marketing, strategy, UX/UI, and IS teams to deliver brand-aligned creative across campaigns, internal tools, and digital products.
  • Partner closely with corporate and property marketing staff, as well as external vendors, to ensure brand continuity and scalable execution.
  • Confidently present creative direction and campaign concepts to senior leadership, aligning messaging with business priorities and timelines.
  • Serve as the visual and conceptual gatekeeper for the Marcus & Millichap brand and its affiliated entities.
  • Oversee updates to branding systems, templates, and corporate collateral, ensuring consistent visual language and scalability.
  • Keep pace with design trends and marketing best practices, bringing innovative thinking to the team.
  • Evaluate and implement AI-driven design tools and production workflows that enhance output quality and brand consistency across high-volume print and digital materials.

Education & Experience

  • 6–10 years of progressive experience in design, branding, or creative direction, ideally in real estate, agency, or a corporate marketing setting.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring creative teams in a remote or multi-location environment.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma/Sketch, and presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing both strategic campaigns and refined execution across print and digital.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience leading large-scale brand projects and developing visual systems.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for design or marketing workflows is a plus.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to quickly learn commercial real estate industry terminology and dynamics.
