About the Role 

Reporting directly to the Creative Director in China, this role is a dynamic and highly collaborative position that bridges creative execution across North America, Europe, and China. The ideal candidate is a curious, strategic thinker with a strong background in brand or agency environments, and a passion for storytelling through design.

You’ll play a key role in shaping consumer product experiences and content for WildBrain’s iconic IPs—including Teletubbies, In the Night Garden and Peanuts by delivering innovative, brand-aligned creative across product development, POSM and digital content. This role requires a confident creative who can navigate across diverse brand ecosystems with ease, while maintaining consistent visual language and high design standards.

Job Description

  • Lead Creative Execution across merchandise, content, and POSM, ensuring alignment with brand vision, storytelling guidelines, and audience resonance.
  • Drive Franchise Localization: Oversee creative adaptation of IPs for local markets (e.g., Chinese “cute” versions of TT & ITNG), including content development and stylization.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with commercial, marketing, and product development teams to translate business objectives into compelling creative strategies.
  • Manage Creative Resources: Coordinate with internal teams, freelancers, and external agencies including designers, illustrators, photographers, and character artists.
  • Ensure Quality & Efficiency: Streamline workflows to optimize cost and effectiveness, while maintaining global quality standards.
  • Trend & Tech Awareness: Stay ahead of design trends and emerging technologies to deliver consumer-centric, revenue-driving creative.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to pitch decks, concept mockups, and visual storytelling for business development and content partnerships.
  • Content Design for Chinese Platforms: Deliver high-volume, quick-turnaround creative assets (e.g., posters, banners) for platforms like Bilibili, Youku, iQIYI, and Tencent Music—supporting over 2000+ designs launching Q4 2025–Q1 2026.

Qualifications

  • Professional Experience: Minimum 4 years in creative roles within digital platforms or IP-driven consumer product development.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the entertainment and IP landscape; passion for WildBrain brands is a plus.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional ability to work cross-functionally and present ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments with global touchpoints.
  • Creative Excellence: High personal standards and attention to detail across graphic design, product development, and visual storytelling.
  • Software Mastery: Proficient in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator; video editing skills are a bonus.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to solve creative challenges with innovative, brand-aligned solutions.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Enjoys working with diverse teams and thrives in a multi-disciplinary, multicultural setting.
