In this role, you will lead the design vision for a high-value, rapidly growing customer segment, shaping how enterprise and mid-market clients experience the product. You will manage a team of skilled designers and researchers, guiding the creation of intuitive, scalable, and impactful user experiences. Partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Research, you will define strategy, prioritize initiatives, and ensure design quality aligns with both business goals and user needs. This position combines hands-on design leadership with strategic influence, providing opportunities to innovate across complex systems and drive measurable impact. You will also foster a strong team culture, promoting professional growth, collaboration, and inclusion across distributed teams.
Accountabilities
- Lead and scale a team of product designers and researchers responsible for end-to-end UX across the Upmarket product segment.
- Define and implement UX strategy for enterprise and mid-market customers, balancing complex business requirements with simplicity and usability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Research to set priorities, clarify objectives, and drive alignment.
- Oversee platform and administrative experiences, including governance, access management, data privacy, and multi-user workflows.
- Champion design quality and craft, mentoring team members to deliver consumer-grade experiences for enterprise-scale challenges.
- Establish design systems, processes, and frameworks that enhance efficiency across multiple products and regions.
- Advocate for the customer in strategic discussions, influencing executive decisions with design insight and storytelling.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing design managers, senior individual contributors, and user researchers.
- Extensive experience leading UX in B2B SaaS, preferably for mid-market or enterprise platforms, commerce, or administrative systems.
- Expertise in platform design, information architecture, and systems thinking applied to human-centered design.
- Strong strategic acumen, able to balance long-term vision with near-term delivery and business outcomes.
- Technical fluency, comfortable collaborating with engineers in complex technical domains.
- Track record of coaching and developing high-performing design teams.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, providing structure while maintaining empathy, creativity, and user focus.
