Full-Stack Web Designer/Developer

We are currently looking for a Full-Stack Web Designer/Developer in the United States.
In this role, you will lead the design and development of modern, scalable web platforms, combining technical architecture, front-end and back-end development, and user experience design. You will be responsible for evolving existing web assets and building new solutions that prioritize usability, accessibility, and performance. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, scientists, and communications specialists to deliver engaging digital experiences. You will implement cloud-based solutions, manage content effectively, and establish best practices for maintainable, high-performing web applications. The role provides both creative and technical challenges in a dynamic, remote-friendly environment.
Accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end design and development of web platforms, ensuring robust architecture and seamless user experience.
- Develop and evolve web assets across multiple projects, implementing responsive, scalable, and maintainable front-end and back-end solutions.
- Create and maintain content management systems (CMS) to support consistent content and workflow.
- Design intuitive user interfaces, user flows, and information architecture that prioritize accessibility and engagement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate organizational needs into technical and design solutions.
- Integrate websites with APIs, cloud services, and existing data systems.
- Establish best practices for site maintenance, security, and future extensibility.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer or UI/UX Engineer with a strong portfolio of web applications or sites.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in computer science, engineering, or related field with relevant professional experience.
- Hands-on expertise in web development languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and associated libraries.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and toolchains (e.g., Vue.js, Quasar).
- Proficiency with responsive design, accessibility standards, and UI/UX principles.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, AWS cloud infrastructure, and containerization (Docker).
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, XML/JSON, and data integration.
- Familiarity with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and project management tools (e.g., Git, Jira).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
