This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Graphic Designer in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to create visually compelling materials that bring complex planning initiatives to life. You will work closely with professional planners to transform technical content into engaging graphics, illustrations, and layouts that effectively communicate community vision and strategy. The position involves developing branding, preparing promotional materials, designing project websites, and producing high-quality reports and presentation boards. You will have the chance to influence public engagement and decision-making through your design work, while collaborating with a supportive team in a flexible and inclusive work environment.
  • Accountabilities:
  • Lead the design of visual materials for planning initiatives, including logos, color schemes, charts, maps, and infographics.
  • Develop and maintain project websites and digital platforms for community engagement.
  • Prepare promotional graphics for events, social media, and outreach campaigns.
  • Create layouts for planning reports, slide decks, and presentation boards, enhancing readability and visual appeal.
  • Collaborate with planners and other team members to translate technical content into engaging, story-driven graphics.
  • Support document production using Adobe Creative Suite and ensure consistency in branding and style.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional graphic design experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
  • Experience managing multiple deadlines and large-scale report documents (20–200 pages).
  • Strong visual storytelling skills, with a background in technical writing, journalism, or related areas preferred.
  • Familiarity with community planning, local government operations, or economic development is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.
