About the Role
The Hair and Makeup Artist is responsible for creating clean, natural, and camera-ready looks that reflect real, everyday people. This role focuses on enhancing each person’s authentic appearance while ensuring consistency and polish for the video capture. The ideal candidate will be trained in makeup application and basic hair styling, is detail-oriented, efficient, and skilled at subtle enhancement rather than heavy or stylized makeup. Must be able to provide hair and makeup services for a diverse range of clients, including varying skin tones, hair textures, and hair types.
What You Will Do:
- Apply natural, flattering makeup and create simple hairstyles for both women and men, that look effortless and authentic on camera
- Collaborate with the Talent Manager and talent to achieve looks that align with the project’s tone and creative direction
- Perform touch-ups as needed to maintain a consistent and fresh look throughout the filming session
- Adapt to different lighting environments, schedules, and feedback quickly and professionally
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workspace
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of kits, tools, and products for efficient on-site work
- Stay informed about current trends and techniques in natural makeup and everyday hairstyling
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Hair and Makeup Stylist in a commercial, and/or business setting
- Certification in Hair and Makeup artistry, cosmetology license preferred
- Strong understanding of skin tones, natural color enhancement, and simple hairstyling techniques
- Proficiency with a variety of makeup and hairstyling products suitable for light, everyday looks
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to ensure visual consistency across shots
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- A professional, collaborative attitude and strong communication skills
- Adaptable, creative, and receptive to direction and feedback
- Ability to stand for extended periods while performing detailed work
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the role, including regular bending, carrying, and transporting kits or equipment while following established safety protocols
- Manual dexterity and steady hand control for precision work
- Visual acuity to accurately match tones and details
- Ability to work in studio, on-set, or on-location environments with varying lighting and temperatures
Work Environment:
- This position operates primarily within a factory setting
- The noise level can range from moderate to loud
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles (e.g. forklifts, trucks)

This part-time variable position pays an hourly rate of $50.00. Final hourly rate will be dependent on experience, skill level, and certifications. All hourly rates meet or exceed applicable state and federal minimum wage laws. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and applicable state law.
