Are you ready to produce high-quality and engaging social media videos with a focus on science communication? Then this is for you!
The purpose of this role is to provide creative assets for social media channels including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube that communicate complex scientific concepts and provide behind-the-scenes moments from scientists and engineers working at the forefront of space exploration and safety.
This is a fixed‑term position for 18 months.
VIDEO EDITING
In this role you'll regularly edit provided footage and assets into concise, engaging social media videos that prioritize clear, impactful communication. You'll also ensure each piece is optimized for platform-specific formats, maintains narrative coherence, and aligns with overall messaging and brand guidelines.
MOTION GRAPHIC DESIGN
Another part of your role is to translate complex scientific concepts and mission milestones into clear, visually compelling motion graphics and infographics. You'll also develop assets that seamlessly reflect the established visual identity, tone, and brand standards, supporting both educational and promotional objectives.
VISUAL ASSET DESIGN
In this role you'll design and animate graphic elements for use across social media video content, including lower thirds, transitions, overlays, and iconography. You'll also create reusable templates and style frameworks that ensure visual consistency, streamline production, and support rapid content development.
ASSET PACKAGING AND DELIVERY
Another part of your role will be to collaborate closely with the Social Media team to prepare, organize, and deliver creative assets to internal stakeholders and external partners. Exporting and packaging files in channel-appropriate formats and specifications, ensuring compatibility, high quality, and ease of use across multiple platforms and devices, will be part of your core responsibilities.
1+ years’ experience producing people-focused social media videos and motion graphics, ideally using tools such as Adobe After Effects and related editing software.
Ability to create clear, visually compelling infographics and animations within an established brand identity to communicate complex scientific or technical concepts.
Excellent written and verbal English skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging content, captions, and on-screen messaging that support communication objectives.
A high level of creativity in developing visual concepts and content ideas, combined with meticulous attention to accuracy, consistency, and quality in both visuals and language.
Proven ability to work effectively within a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain structured production plans to meet deadlines and campaign milestones.
A genuine interest in space, science, and related topics, informs both the creative approach and the accuracy of visual storytelling.
Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2.251 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
