Job Description
The Marketing Communications Specialist works on the Marketing Manager’s team and will be tasked to deliver high-performance promotional copy for all Structube marketing channels. They will be responsible for consistently conveying the brand’s message across all communications, supporting the company’s overall marketing strategy, and contributing to its success. They support the marketing team in the development, execution, rollout, and post-campaign analysis as it relates to marketing communications, ensuring consistency in the brand message and customer experience across all channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Copywriting, Content, Editing/Reviews
- Bilingual copywriting (French and English) for all marketing campaigns, including but not limited to:
- Weekly newsletters and customer communications
- Web content: homepage, blog articles, various web pages, etc.
- Marketing memos intended for stores or other departments
- Media communications: press releases, product pitches
- Advertising: digital and traditional ads
- Other: descriptions, signage, packaging, etc.
- Review, edit, and proofread marketing content for accuracy, style, and adherence to the brand’s tone of voice;
- Maintain and regularly update Structube’s brand style guide as it relates to copy and tone of voice;
- Research keywords and optimize copywriting for web, respecting industry best practices for SEO and LLM;
- Develop a thorough understanding of Structube’s products and its customers;
- Collate up-to-date information on consumer journey, current marketing trends and competitors;
- Research and stay on top of the latest fashion and design trends and corresponding language, including knowledge of current buzzwords and trending topics to propose relevant content recommendations that align with Structube’s business objectives.
Planning & Coordination
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager to assist in planning content themes and marketing communications;
- Collaborate with the marketing and creative team to provide content briefs and review of creative assets;
- Collaborate with the Content Creator to edit and assist in social media initiatives;
- Respond to media requests relating to content and product inquiries;
- Manage customer reviews for the website;
- Liaise with external resources to coordinate freelance copy briefs, reviews, and translations as needed.
Qualifications
Who is the perfect Marketing Communications Specialist?
- 3-5 years of experience;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, Journalism, Business-related qualifications or equivalent experience;
- Bilingual: must have exceptional writing skills in English and French
- Values attention to detail and meticulous in their work;
- Capacity to adapt quickly and multitask while working with tight deadlines;
- Self-driven and resourceful with the ability to use one’s own initiative and problem-solving capabilities;
- Ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
Bonus:
- Experience or interest in copywriting and editing using AI assisted tools;
- Copywriting experience for B2C retail company;
- Interest for interior design.
