We are seeking a Principal UX Engineer to lead and elevate the user experience across a portfolio of complex products. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on design, guiding cross-functional teams to create intuitive, consistent, and high-quality interfaces for cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments. You will define UX principles, implement scalable design systems, and advocate for human-centered design throughout the organization. This position offers a dynamic, collaborative environment where your work directly impacts product usability, user satisfaction, and the efficiency of product delivery at scale.
Accountabilities:
- Define and drive the holistic UX vision and strategy across multiple products and platforms.
- Establish UX principles, design standards, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency and quality.
- Lead the creation and adoption of a scalable design system across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid products.
- Oversee research, journey mapping, prototyping, usability testing, and UX architecture decisions.
- Mentor and coach UX designers, engineers, and researchers to foster professional growth and collaboration.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops, align teams, and provide insights to support product planning.
- Advocate for user needs through data-driven research and UX KPIs.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in UX or interaction design, with leadership experience across multiple complex products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating system-level design thinking and hands-on UX expertise.
- Ability to drive consistent UX patterns across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid deployments.
- Familiarity with front-end engineering concepts and collaboration with engineering teams.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in enterprise or technical product environments is preferred.
- Background in building or scaling design systems and knowledge of accessibility standards.
- Proven ability to mentor and guide teams while influencing organizational UX practices.
