Who We Seek

Our merit-based culture suits professionals in pursuit of boundless careers and lives.  Beyond their acumen, team members are collaborative and conscientious, bringing a healthy sense of drive and purpose to each interaction and to all aspects of their work.

About the Role

Working within the global Creative & Digital Studio team, part of the broader global Business Development & Marketing function, the Senior Creative Design Specialist will be responsible for leading on a broad range of graphic design projects, ensuring they meet the brief, deadlines, and align with the Maples Group brand identity. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual looking for the next step in their career and to lead on a broad range of projects across the Maples Group. You will work closely with other designers, copywriters and marketers to translate briefs into compelling concepts and polished executions that advance our brand and drive measurable outcomes.  Day-to-day, you will contribute to concept development, design production, and asset rollout, ensuring consistency with brand standards and accessibility guidelines. You will participate in critiques, incorporate feedback constructively, and maintain organised files, version control, and documentation to enable efficient workflow and handovers.

Primary responsibilities include:

Brand & Visual Design

  • Work closely with members of the global marketing team to interpret design briefs and develop engaging and impactful assets to support the business in its strategic objectives
  • Lead design development for major campaigns, thought leadership series, and firmwide initiatives
  • Develop brand visual static assets across a range of materials and purposes
  • Serve as the brand guardian, ensuring consistent and high-quality application of the firm’s visual identity across all materials
  • Work with the broader Digital & Creative Studio team in refreshing, refining, and evolving the business's visual identity

External Marketing

  • Design marketing collateral such as event materials, social media graphics, newsletters, infographics, client alerts, and web banners
  • Create compelling visuals for presentations, client seminars, and industry conferences
  • Support RFP/proposal teams with high‑impact layouts and document design
  • Develop visual concepts that simplify complex legal and financial services topics for clients

Internal Communications

  • Design materials for internal communications including templates, announcements, and firm‑wide newsletters
  • Support in the development of internal signage, staff event invitations and branding

Project Management

  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with client service practice groups, business development, and IT teams
  • Ensure all final materials meet quality, formatting, accessibility, and confidentiality standards

EXPERIENCE

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • A bachelor's degree or a similar professional qualification in a creative/graphic design or related field is preferred
  • 6-8 years of professional design experience (experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred)
  • An expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite software tools (especially Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign), Microsoft 365 applications (especially Word and PowerPoint), and social media platforms
  • Experience in UX design and Adobe Express and Firefly is a significant benefit
  • An understanding of digital marketing channels and tools
  • Expertise in visual design principles—typography, layout, colour, composition, hierarchy, and grid systems — alongside strong experience in industry-standard tools
  • Confidence in the creative and marketing fields and the ability to execute various timely tasks while working collaboratively and positively
  • Strong relationship skills and the ability to understand and quickly respond to the needs of internal stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle a consistent and varied workload is essential
  • A team player with the ability to build relationships with colleagues both locally and globally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
