About the Role

As a Senior Designer, you will lead the development of innovative digital ads and assets for one of the world's largest packaged goods companies. This role demands expertise in balancing speed, style, and scale to produce high-quality visual content that resonates across multiple platforms. We are looking for someone passionate about seeking new opportunities, contributing to a nimble, AI-forward team, and creating impactful work.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation of style proposals, sketches, mockups, and prototypes to initiate design projects for products, features, and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and production, to ensure designs meet client expectations and adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Execute and enhance art direction while providing innovative ideas and best practices to improve the creative process.
  • Translate complex creative briefs into actionable and thorough design briefs that inform the design process.
  • Ensure pixel-perfect execution of designs, maintaining quality and attention to detail at all times.
  • Specialise in crafting interactive assets for social media and other digital channels.
  • Stay informed about cultural trends and incorporate insights into designs to ensure relevance and appeal.
  • Elevate storytelling through design by skillfully combining aesthetics with functionality in visual content and motion graphics.
  • Mentor and support junior designers, providing guidance and feedback to foster skill development within the team.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

About You

The essentials:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Designer, ideally in a digital or advertising environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator and Figma.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in digital design and advertising materials.
  • Proven experience with all stages of the design process, from concept development to final execution.
  • Deep understanding of design fundamentals, including typography, grid systems, interaction design, and storytelling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for effectively collaborating with clients and team members.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project needs and priorities.
  • Experience with 3D design software (e.g., Cinema 4D) or UI/UX design.
  • Familiarity with current social media trends and best practices for visual content.
  • Interest and borderline obsession with evolving AI technology and functionality.
  • The ability to guide and encourage younger design team members.

Not a must, but a plus:

  • Knowledge of front-end development (HTML/CSS) is a bonus.

At Monks, we believe in fostering an environment where a diversity of perspectives can thrive. We proactively work to design hiring processes that promote equity and inclusion while mitigating bias.
