Zus is a shared health data platform designed to accelerate healthcare data interoperability by providing easy-to-use patient data via API, embedded components, and direct EHR integrations. Founded in 2021 by Jonathan Bush, co-founder and former CEO of athenahealth, Zus partners with HIEs and other data networks to aggregate patient clinical history and then translates that history into user-friendly information at the point of care. What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join our Applications (App) team, which delivers the core web and embedded applications our customers use every day. The ideal candidate is passionate about building intuitive, reliable, and scalable user-facing products that empower healthcare providers to access and act on critical patient data.
As a member of the App team, you’ll work on everything from React-based user interfaces to the APIs that power them. You’ll contribute to the design and development of full-stack features, collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams, and ensure the scalability and maintainability of our applications as we grow. You enjoy thinking about the full flow of data—from UI interactions to API design to backend systems—and are comfortable owning services end to end. Our stack includes React, TypeScript, GraphQL and RESTful APIs, and AWS services like ECS, Lambda, and DynamoDB. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values clean and maintainable code, and is eager to shape how users interact with the future of healthcare data.
$140,000 - $170,000 a year
Zus Health is headquartered in Boston, MA, with an office available for employees to use as their schedules allow. We embrace a remote-first work philosophy, enabling team members across the U.S. to work from wherever they’re most productive. While most day-to-day work can be performed remotely, we value periodic in-person collaboration—such as whiteboard sessions, team gatherings, and company-wide retreats in Boston or other off-site locations. For Engineering roles, we expect occasional travel for in-person meetings and events a few times per year.
