Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for an experienced Senior Weapon Artist to work on Cyberpunk: Orion, the follow up to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next game in the franchise. As a Senior Weapon Artist, you will contribute to an immersive player experience by designing and modelling memorable weapons of the Cyberpunk universe. 

Daily Responsibilities

• Craft high-quality 3D models of weapons, props — low, mid, and high-poly — with mechanical realism and strong aesthetic presence.
• Interpret detailed weapon concepts and bring them to life with thoughtful design.
• Work independently while collaborating closely with Concept Art, Art Direction, Animation, and Gameplay to ensure consistency and functionality.
• Build and refine pipelines and workflows for weapon creation and customization in Unreal Engine.
• Write briefs, create documentation, and support internal and external development partners.
• Mentor and guide fellow artists on hard surface and weapon modeling best practices.
• Apply strong PBR-based material and texturing skills to polish every detail.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of demonstrated experience in the games, preferably focused on hardsurface modeling for weapons and props.
• Experience working on AAA titles.
• A strong eye for form, proportion, scale, and material definition.
• Proficiency with Blender and Substance Painter.
• Knowledge of weapon design across different eras and genres, with an appreciation for both function and style.
• Understanding of gameplay needs and how art contributes to immersive mechanics.
• Open, collaborative mindset—able to receive and give feedback constructively.

Nice to Have

• Passion for mechanics, weapons, and technology.
• Basic skills in rough sketching, drawing, and overpainting.
• Basic knowledge of Unreal Engine or Autodesk Maya.

Artists should include a portfolio to their application.

Working mode

• In-office in a hybrid or full-time capacity in Warsaw, Poland. 
• For selected roles, remote work from within Europe may be considered.
