This role serves a crucial function within our team, focusing on enhancing user engagement and design aesthetics for a groundbreaking media bias and source comparison platform. As a Senior Product Designer, you will be instrumental in designing intuitive interfaces and features, ensuring that our product not only meets the needs of users across 190+ countries but also challenges conventional ways of information consumption. You'll take ownership of design projects from conception to execution, contributing significantly to our redesign efforts while collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals. Accountabilities
- Own features from early concept through shipped product, including research, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.
- Lead visual and motion design work across web and mobile, ensuring high standards of craft and attention to detail.
- Manage and evolve the Figma component library and design system for consistency and scalability.
- Design intuitive solutions for complex information and nuanced features.
- Assist in user research to identify and prioritize problems worth solving.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and leadership to clearly communicate design rationale.
- Maintain an ethical and experimentation-based perspective on AI integration in design workflows.
Requirements
- Exceptional visual and interaction design skills showcased through a strong portfolio.
- Hands-on experience managing design systems and component libraries (Figma proficiency required).
- Strong understanding of motion design as a communication tool.
- Experience in designing products that simplify complex information for a broad audience.
- Fluency with lean research methods for user feedback integration.
- Comfortable designing across both native mobile (iOS/Android) and web platforms.
- Ability to articulate design decisions clearly to cross-functional teams.
- A point of view on AI in design workflows based on professional experience.
